Optical Manager Job in Tyler, TX

The Eyecare Associates of East Texas is looking for an Optical Manager to join our team.  The ideal candidate will have proven leadership qualities and Optical experience.

Location: Tyler, TX

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop and maintain a positive working relationship with co-workers and doctors.
• Increase sales by setting the example for selling and dispensing eyewear
• Optimize labor by achieving payroll targets, scheduling effectively.
• Define expectations, provide feedback, recognize, and reward performance.
• Facilitate goal setting, store meetings, on-going training, and development.
• Recruit and assist in hiring
• Train personnel in selling and dispensing skills and telephone techniques.

 

EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum of high school diploma
• American Board of Opticianry (ABO) Certification preferred but not required

SKILLS:

• 2-5 years minimum of optical experience preferred.
• Be helpful and courteous and display strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must be a well-organized team-player with great attention to detail.
• Strong multi-tasking, planning, organization, and execution skills.
• Motivated and dependable with a patient-friendly personality.
• Demonstrates superior computer skills.
